In a groundbreaking move for disability inclusion, the Philippines has become the first Asia-Pacific nation to sign on to a global inclusive sports program.

Through an agreement with a global unified sports initiative, the Philippine Department of Education is introducing programs that allow students with and without disabilities to compete side by side. This forward-thinking step marks a major leap for inclusive education in Asia.

It’s more than just play—it’s about creating shared experiences, improving self-confidence, and shifting how communities view disability. The Philippines now sets an inspiring precedent for the rest of the region.
